The Princeton College Democrats call upon all delegates to the Democratic National Convention to update the Democratic Party platform to explicitly oppose Israeli annexation, settlement expansion, and occupation. These forces severely undermine the fight for the peace and justice that Palestinians and Israelis deserve. While past party platforms have rightly stated a commitment to Israel’s security, they have been silent on the rights of Palestinians, and on Israeli actions that undermine those rights and the prospects for a two-state solution. We stand with J Street U in their fight for our party platform to reflect the reality of the occupation. Let’s change the platform, and stand in the Nation’s Service and the Service of Humanity.
